Our ISO 14001 certification is solid evidence of the considerable effort and resources that we put into environmentally responsible manufacturing. At Mohawk, we stress continuous improvement in our performance as we seek to leave a smaller and smaller environmental footprint. ISO 14001 certification credits us for outstanding achievements in our manufacturing procedures, company practices, and corporate policies - all of which meet the stringent standards set by ISO 14001 for environmentally-sound manufacturing.
ISO 14001 brings helpful third party attention to sustainability
ISO 14001 is an Environmental Management System certification awarded by the International Organization of Standardization. Our plants located in Glasgow, Virginia and Landrum, South Carolina have both received ISO 14001 certification and our goal will be to certify the remaining nine by 2008. ISO 14001 third party certification requires constant audits, training, and documentation – all helping to ensure that our plant activities are monitored for measurable improvements in sustainable manufacturing and quality.
