Saving time and money

Folio 12 and Folio 54 are the online custom design tools for Durkan broadloom and modular carpets. As with all of Mohawk's design simulation programs, they offer customers the ability to mix and match various patterns and colors, view their selections in a number of different rooms scenes, and order high definition printed simulation samples of their favorite designs. This process saves the customer time by eliminating the need to leave the office or schedule an appointment to view carpet samples. It gives them the flexibility to explore as many designs as they want in a matter of minutes. Once they have viewed simulation samples of their favorites, they can order real tufted carpet samples to make their final selection.

Saving the environment

What does all this mean for the environment? It means more carpet samples are kept out of landfills and less natural resources are used. Simulations require zero oil to produce and use 95% less water and energy in production than tufted samples. In addition, the paper used to print these high quality, color accurate samples is 100% recyclable. Our simulations also save on gasoline and packing materials, as they are much smaller and lighter to ship than tufted samples. These new online product selection tools are yet another way we decrease our impact on the environment while increasing benefits for the customer.
