One good thing leads to another
One of our recycling efforts is a program called ReCover. This initiative makes it easier than ever for users to recycle their old carpet at the end of its life. When it's time to replace their worn-out carpet, all they have to do is give us a call. We then pick it up from their premises, transport it, and recycle it through our North American network of carpet recyclers. Now, we're doing the same thing for carpet samples through our new Sample ReCover program. We're arranging pick-up and recycling the carpet samples that designers use when they're developing new products. Once the designers are finished with their samples, they simply phone us, and our Sample ReCover program handles the rest.
A simple solution with big benefits
After seeing the success of ReCover, we realized that Sample ReCover would be the next logical step in furthering the cause of sustainability. It reduces our dependency on petrochemicals, a precious natural resource, and lessens the impact of petrochemical production on the environment. It also keeps more carpet out of landfills. Less raw material consumption, less pollution, and less waste mean considerable benefits for the planet. And all, because of a simple, yet highly effective, recycling program called Sample ReCover.
