Over the years, we have manufactured and installed over 40 million yards of Ultra Performance System broadloom. With a carpet as popular as our Ultra Performance System line, little changes can make a big difference. Our research and development teams figured out a way to substitute a virgin natural resource with a recycle content ingredient to our original Ultra Performance System product, and now we're making more than just carpet; we're making sustainability history.

Taking sustainability to a new level by total product weight

Ultra Performance System RE is made of 15% post-consumer recycled content—recycled bottle glass. This 15%* represents millions of pounds of material previously destined for landfills that is now put to good use. It also represents a major reduction in the amount of natural resources that have to be mined for production. Other big ideas include eliminating the need for toxic seam welds and sealers, removing the environmental and health hazard of VOC emissions , and improving indoor air quality by preventing the growth of mildew and mold. Both Ultra Performance System RE products are CRI Green Label Plus Certified, PVC-free, chlorine-free, contain no 4PCH, and no SBR latex. Additionally, Ultra Performance System RE is third party certified as an Environmentally Preferred Product (EPP).

Better performance for longer life

Ultra Performance System RE also improves the performance of tufted carpet by eliminating common problems such as zippering, delamination, and dimensional instability. Ultra Performance System RE Bloc adds an extra moisture barrier to further enhance performance. These superior performance characteristics extend the useful life of carpet, making environmental footprint even smaller. When it finally comes time for replacement, Ultra Performance System RE and Ultra Performance System RE Bloc can be diverted from the waste stream through our ReCover program.
