Recovering old carpet before it fills our landfills

CARE seeks to develop market-based solutions to reuse and recycle old carpet so that it stays in use rather than adding to America's growing landfills. Mohawk is a member of CARE's executive board. Members of our senior management are active participants in CARE's development of industry-wide and governmental initiatives for collecting, developing, and marketing recycled carpet products.

Another way we are keeping carpet out of landfills

With our own initiatives ranging from the development of 100% recyclable product to our ReCover program (that will pick up any manufacturer's carpet for recycling), we're doing everything we can to keep carpet from filling our landfills.
