CRI represents the manufacturers of over 95% of all carpet made in America. The Institute provides scientific facts on carpet and rugs, working with those segments of the industry that deal directly with customers. Its role is to help consumers understand the relationship between carpet and the environment as well as helping to increase overall customer satisfaction. CRI shows consumers the benefits that carpet can provide in creating a healthy, safe, sustainable environment.
Mohawk is a leader with high-level involvement
Mohawk is a leading force in CRI activities. Our management is involved at the highest levels with our CEO acting as a member of CRI's senior board of directors. We take an active role in CRI initiatives such as developing the new Green Label Plus program and establishing procurement guidelines for state governments that reward carpet suppliers' environmental initiatives. Our involvement with CRI is an essential part of our commitment to our customers and to the environment as CRI provides customers with the facts they need for making environmentally-friendly decisions about carpet.
